GO ROCKETS !!!

basketball"The RCSA Rockets took the court against the SOS Academy Eagles.  It was the first basketball game for the team and the first official interschool game at RCSA ever.  The seats were all packed and it was standing room only as the RCSA Rockets came out of Señor Quant's room where they had been discussing the game plan, lineup and strategy.  The excitement was running wild through the air and people were anxious for the start of the match.  The RCSA team, donning their home white jersey with navy blue shorts, were pumped and chomping at the bit to get the game started.  The SOS Academy with their dark red warmups and cheerleaders seemed calm and professional, unfazed by the unfamiliar territory they were entering.  The tipoff came right on time and the game began.  The RCSA Rockets had some first game jitters early on and were trying to find their rhythm.  The SOS Academy looked their part and played it well, too.  The first few minutes were tense as each team was trying to feel each other out and find out what worked and what did not.  Soon, the RCSA Rockets were in a bitter battle that they fought for the whole game.  The SOS Academy came at them with speed and fury.  RCSA was trying to respond but our youth was shining through and the SOS Academy took advantage and took the lead and never let go.  It was a good game and the score does not show how hard the Rockets fought against the Eagles.  But, lesson learned and experience gained as the Rockets congratulated the Eagles on a well played game and the Rockets held their heads high, knowing they had not given up for one minute.  Winning or losing is not as important as winning or losing like men."
