FCAT testing will begin April 16th. April 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th will be early release days (1:05pm dismissal).
Please make necessary arrangements for your students to get home. There will be no clubs and tutoring during FCAT week, however after school care will be available until 4:00PM.

On March 30-April 1, thirty-four students from RCSA’s Community Service Club traveled to the campus of FSU to participate in the PeaceJam Southeast Conference. Students joined up with over 600 young people from all over the Southeastern U.S. to spend the weekend with Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams.

RCSA Middle and High School will be having a Open House for prospective parents on Saturday May 12th at 12:45PM.



This year the FCAT weekend studies will be held from January 28th-April 14th. We believe that you know how important the FCAT is to your student’s education, and we want you to know about this opportunity we are offering here at RCSA to increase your student’s success on the FCAT Math/Reading tests.

Students at River City Science Academy gather to spread peaceful proclamations. The school recently collected and was named a Florida Service-Learning Leader School.

“They kind of get this [sense of] ownership,” says River City’s Science Academy Principal Dr.Dogan Tozoglu, of his charter school’s faculty. “The success is the teachers’, not ours in the administration.
Each year, the Rising Star Award is given to 1-2 service-learning teachers or administrators who have had significant accomplishment in the field in a short period of time. He or she has who has nonetheless engaged a large number of students, had a wide impact in her/his school or community, and has great potential for further growth or achievement.
My eldest daughter attends River City Science Academy and has since they opened their doors. I homeschooled her in 6th grade rather than send her to the local public school because the schools in our area are horrible. The students are disrespectful and the teachers' hands are tied to do anything about problem children.
River City Science Academy Chess team participated Jax City Scholastic Chess Championship on Feb 12, 2011. The tournament attracts more than 100 devotees every year, hosted at Jacksonville Country Day School. The RCSA Chess team participated in two divisions, middle school and high school.
